The Many Portrayals Of You

A couple months ago, I asked my sister if I had a style of clothes I wear. She told me I don't have one in particular. Sure, I like to be fashionable, but that's not a style. I was disappointed by her answer and decided to start looking for my own style that becomes my signature. Recently, however, I have been thinking about that moment and came to realize something: Why must I have a specific style that I'm committed to? Why can't I portray who I want to be in each situation differently?

I mean, can you relly be classified in one category? It's like being in a clique; as if we are back in high school. We are perceived in a way and that's how and who we are supposed to be. We try to escape that image and we are put back in our place. Well, we can change that. Those of you out there craving fashion, wanting more and more, you can change your image the way only a fashionista (girl or guy) can do: change the way you dress. Wear what the person you want to be would wear in each situation. Because hygene and wearing clothes you feel confident in will give you a boost in the direction of your goal. So, do what it takes, and get a new wardrobe in the style(s) you want, but be who you want to be. Maybe you want to be sophisticated and professional at work, eleant and mature on a date, and wild, sexy, and coy at a club. So be all those people.

If you can't afford to go out and get yourself a new wardrobe, get creative with the clothes you already have. But remember, it all starts with your attire you wear, which transforms you into the person you are (or want to be) in each situation. Then, you have to believe what you are putting out there for everyone to see.
